Aquarium Le Navi in Rimini, Italy

Northern Italy is a favourite summer tourist destination. Theme parks, aqua parks and aquariums are attractions that draw people. One of these tourists’ attractions is the Aquirium Le Navi situated near Rimini. Also known as Acquario de Cattolica, Aquarium Le Navi is one of the most beautiful aquariums in Italy. “Le Navi” stands for ship. When you get out of the bus or the car, you would think that you are on for another trip…in a ship this time as the buildings overlooking the sea resembles a fleet.

Aquarium Le Navi has over 100 tanks that display the wonders of the marine world and allow visitors to have an idea what the distant and mysterious depths of the ocean hide. The aquarium has two main sections – the Geopolis an exhibition of the fossils of previous ages and the Aquapolis, an exhibition of life under the surface of the seas and oceans. The “Touch Tank” is the favourite of young and old alike as they are allowed to dip their arms and hands in the water to touch the fishes.

Aquarium Le Navi is open daily from 10.00 to 23.00. Rates are 18 Euros for adults, 14 Euros for children, senior citizens, members of the military and disabled persons.
